Choose & Cut Craft Fair

Today is the annual Choose and Cut Craft fair at the Alleghany County Fairgrounds in the Emerson Black Building. The craft fair runs from 9-4. Once you are there, you are only 5 miles from the farm so follow the signs from the fairgrounds to pick out your tree and pick up some garland or a wreath. You can also click HERE for more detailed directions. Dress warm it's chilly today with some snow flurries. Not to worry though, we've got plenty of hot chocolate and cider so hope to see you there.

Please take time today to thank a veteran. Veterans day only comes around once a year but we should all think about the sacrafices that have, are, and will be made by our service men and women.

A special thank you to our father, Harold, for his service in the Navy. We love and appreicate all you did to serve our country.

Choose & Cut 2010

Wow . . . . hard to believe another year has come and gone. We have all been very busy getting ready for this year's Choose & Cut Season and it's just around the corner. This year we will be open from Saturday, November 20th thru Sunday, December 19th. If you would like to tag your tree early, just give us a call or come by the farm. We'd be happy to help you out.

Not only do we have beautiful Fraser Fir Chirstmas Trees but we are also real working farm so we've got some great things to see and do. You'll be taking a hayride up the hill to find that perfect tree then head back down to the porch for a cup of hot cocoa. Be sure to say hey to our Red Heeler Molly (she's always somewhere on the farm and loves the extra attention). You may also run into our pony Charlie or Bowtie and Spot, two of our friendly goats. You really never know what you might see. In additon to all that, we also have beef cattle, horses, chickens and honey bees. So if you ever wanted to know how a real farm works, here's your chance! Needless to say you never get bored.

We also make all our own greenery on-site with a wide selection to choose from including wreaths, garland and specialty items (Cross, Christmas Tree, Star, Advent Ring and more). Come on out for a visit and please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions. We look forward to seeing you soon!
